On the morning of March 9, in Hanoi, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations Tran Thi Phuong received Cuban Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam Joy Puentes Saldise to greet him on the occasion of his new assignment in Vietnam.
At the meeting, Mrs. Tran Thi Phuong welcomed Deputy Ambassador Joy Puentes Saldise to work in Vietnam. She wished him a successful term, making positive contributions to the friendship between Vietnam and Cuba in general and people-to-people relations in particular.
Deputy Ambassador Joy Puentes Saldise was very pleased to receive his term in Vietnam. He affirmed that, in his new position, he will always strongly support the cooperating activities between the Cuban Embassy and the Hanoi Union of Organizations. At the same time, he also shared and updated information about the current Cuban situation. He expressed his gratitude for the valuable support of the Party, State and people of Vietnam in general, Hanoi in particular for Cuba during the past time, and emphasized the importance of solidarity between Cuba and Vietnam.
They exchanged plans to coordinate activities in the coming time, especially activities on the occasion of major holidays and anniversaries of the two countries’ diplomatic relations. It contributes to the cultivation of Cuba - Vietnam relations.
