HAUFO ACTIVITIES
On the afternoon of February 7th, the delegation of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations led by Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Ky visited the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam to extend Tet (Lunar New Year) greetings for the Year of the Dragon.
Ambassador Hong Xiaoyong warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed gratitude to the leadership of the HAUFO for their visit and wishes. The Ambassador expressed hope for practical activities in 2024 to promote people-to-people diplomatic activities with the HAUFO in general and the Vietnam-China Friendship Association of Hanoi in particular. He highlighted the successful cooperation in 2023 between the Chinese Embassy, the Vietnamese Party, Government, and Hanoi City through high-level visits. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of developing people-to-people diplomacy and expressed a desire to collaborate with Hanoi City and the HAUFO to organize cultural exchange activities between the two countries.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the HAUFO, Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Ky expressed hope that in 2024, the Chinese Embassy will coordinate in organizing people-to-people diplomatic activities and commemorate the even-numbered anniversary of the twinning between Hanoi and Beijing as well as Yunnan Province. Additionally, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, he sent best wishes to the Ambassador and all staff of the Embassy.
