On July 17, at the Hanoi Museum, the UNESCO Association of Hanoi held a mid-year conference to review its first six months’ activities and outline plans for the latter half of 2024.

Attendees included Tran Thi Phuong, HAUFO’s Standing Vice, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations, and Trương Minh Tiến, Chairman of the Hanoi UNESCO Association, along with association leaders, and representatives from clubs, centers, and branches.

In the first half of the year, the association actively organized events for major anniversaries, promoted intangible cultural heritage to locals and tourists, and conducted various charitable activities.

For the latter half of 2024, the association will focus on celebrating the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation, the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being named a “City for Peace” by UNESCO, and its own 30th anniversary.

Tran Thi Phuong praised the association’s accomplishments in the first half of the year, expressing hope that they will continue their dedicated efforts, alongside affiliated organizations, to successfully commemorate these significant milestones.
