HAUFO ACTIVITIES
On the occasion of 70th anniversary of Hanoi Liberation Day (10/10/1954-10/10/2024), 25th anniversary of Hanoi was recognized by UNESCO as the “City for Peace” (16/7/1999-16/7/2024), Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations in combination with Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports organize Hanoi Art Photo open contest “Hanoi Capital-New position-New stature”.
The contest aims to evoke the revolutionary tradition, thousands of years of civilization, heroism, peace, friendship, spirit, initiative, creativity, self-reliance and desire to rise in Hanoi. Through exhibitions and award-winning works, it contributes to honoring and promoting the cultural values, courses, history and aesthetics of Hanoi culture to Vietnamese and international tourists.
Regulations:
1. Contestants:
Professional photographers, amteur photographers, Vienamese citizens, Vietnamese oversea, foreigners who are working, studying and living in Vietnam.
2. Content of photos:
The photos have clear messages, a new and unique perspective on the capital Hanoi, expressing the love of Vietnamese people and international friends for Hanoi based on messages such as: Thang Long -Hanoi thousand years of civilization, Hanoi - Heroic Capital, Hanoi - City for peace, Creative city… The works reflect the capital's economic, cultural, social, integration and development achievements.

3. Contest form:
- The works participating in the Contest are single photos or set photos, color photos or black and white photos. In particular, photo sets include from 5 to 8 photos accompanied by the makeup of the photo set. The author must number each photo in the contest photo set.
- Contest photos are in digital format, work size from 3Mb to 5Mb, resolution 300dpi. Photos must not be bordered or have any identification placed on the photo.
- Participated photos have not been displayed or won prizes at any national and regional competitions and exhibitions organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
- The photos must be included name, age, occupation, workplace address, residence, phone number, e-mail, and be sent to the Office of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations at 15A Ly Thuong Kiet - Hoan Kiem - Hanoi or e-mail: lehuonggiang1974@gmail.com.

4. Time to entries’ submission:
- Time for entries’ submission: from May 2024 to July 31st , 2024.
- Announcement of awards and exhibition of winning works: expected to be held on September 20, 2024.
-Contest information and results will be announced on the website: www.haufo.hanoi.gov.vn; Friendship & Cooperation Newsletter and other mass media; At the same time, notify each individual winner.
- The Organizing Committee will deliver rewards and certificates to winners who cannot attend the Award Ceremony by post (possibly through Embassies or international organizations).
5. Prizes :
05 First Prizes, 10 Second Prizes, 20 Third Prizes, 30 Consolation Prizes, 15 Thematic Encouragement Prizes and 5 Collective Encouragement Prizes for Grassroots Movements.
The Organizing Committee of the Contest looks forward to receive an enthusiastic response from international friends and Vietnamese oversea; membering Associations to provide information about the contest and mobilize partners, foreigners and Vietnamese oversea to participate.
