On July 18, in Ba Dinh District, the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations and the Ba Dinh District Party Committee signed a cooperation program for 2024-2025. The event was chaired by Hoang Minh Dung Tien, Member of the City Committee and Secretary of the Ba Dinh District Party Committee, and Nguyen Ngoc Ky, Chairman of the Hanoi Union. It was attended by leaders from both organizations.

Hoang Minh Dung Tien emphasized that this signing marks a new development stage between the HAUFO and Ba Dinh District, in line with the newly amended Capital Law. He noted the unique strengths of people-to-people diplomacy, such as flexibility and the ability to build trust and mutual understanding—benefits that are sometimes difficult through formal diplomacy. Ba Dinh District values people-to-people diplomacy, as evidenced by appointing a leader to the standing committee of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association of Hanoi.

Nguyen Ngoc Ky highlighted Ba Dinh District’s central role in Vietnam’s political-administrative landscape and its importance in Hanoi’s international relations.

The signing formalized ongoing cooperation efforts, aligning with Politburo Resolution 15 and the city's directives to broaden people-to-people diplomacy across districts. This agreement lays a foundation for the HAUFO and Ba Dinh District to enhance peace, solidarity, cultural exchange, education, and economic diplomacy.

Both sides discussed specific cooperation details and established key contacts to ensure swift and effective implementation of their shared initiatives.
