HAUFO ACTIVITIES
On April 12, on the occasion of the traditional Cambodian New Year Chol Chnam Thmay, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO) congratulated the Ambassador and staff of the Cambodian Embassy in Vietnam.
HAUFO’s Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Ky warmly conveyed congratulations and presented flowers to Mrs. Chea Kimtha, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and the officials and staff of the Embassy on the occasion of the traditional New Year. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ky expressed excitement about the achievements Cambodia has made in recent times and particularly delighted by the increasing solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia. He hopes for closer cooperation between the Ambassador, Embassy officials, and the HAUFO in the future, demonstrating the growing strong bond and traditional friendship between the two countries.
Mrs. Chea Kimtha appreciated the attention of the Party, State, and people of Vietnam as well as the people of Hanoi towards Cambodia and its people in the past. She highly praised the results of the HAUFO in promoting the strong bond and solidarity between Vietnam and Cambodia and expressed her willingness to actively participate in the activities of the HAUFO in her tenure.
On this occasion, Ambassador Chea Kimtha expressed gratitude and wished health and peace to the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations. Subsequently, Le Kim Anh, Chairperson of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Hanoi, a member of the Hanoi Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi Women's Union along with members of the Executive Committee, visited to congratulate the Cambodian Embassy on the occasion of the traditional Cambodian New Year Chol Chnam Thmay.
