MEMBER ORGANIZATION'S ACTIVITIES
On March 19, at the Center for Essence of Vietnamese Crafts, the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association in Hanoi held a conference to review its activities in 2021 and prepare for the organization of the 6th congress for the 2022-2027 term. Chairman of the association Nguyen Van Thang chaired this event.
The conference was attended by Mr. Pham Xuan Tai, Vice Chairman of Tay Ho District People’s Committee; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, General Secretary, Chief of Office of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations; representatives of Tay Ho District Party Committee, members of the association’s executive committee and leaders of Bat Trang commune (Gia Lam district).
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Thang emphasized that despite the recent two years being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association of Hanoi and its branches still well maintained activities to strengthen the friendship relationship between the two countries and mutual understanding between the two peoples, connecting with partners in Korea and the Korean community in Hanoi. Delegates attending the conference enthusiastically contributed ideas to the draft summary report for the 2017-2022 term and the preparation for the upcoming congress such as the tentative list of the executive committee, the time schedule, the space, the facilities, and the communication. On this occasion, the association announced and awarded the decision to establish two new branches in Chu Van An High School and Tay Ho High School.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, General Secretary, Chief of Office of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations highly appreciated the serious responsibility of the Executive Board and its branches to organize regular activities as well as prepare for the congress for the next term.
In 2022, the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association of Hanoi and its branches are expected to coordinate with the Korean Embassy and the Korean community in Hanoi to organize many events on cultural exchange, sports, pottery, cuisine, ancient clothes between Vietnam and Korea. These events aims to celebrate our 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations (December 22, 1992- December 22, 2022).
