HAUFO ACTIVITIES
On the afternoon of September 18, in Hanoi, the Standing Committee of the HAUFO had a meeting and reception for Mr. Kohdayar Marri, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Vietnam.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Kỳ, Chairman of the HAUFO, welcomed and congratulated the Ambassador on his initial successes in his new term in Vietnam. He also expressed his hope that in the coming time, the Ambassador and the Embassy staff will actively participate in the people’s foreign affairs activities of Hanoi, especially the activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Capital’s Liberation Day and the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being recognized by UNESCO as a City for Peace.
Mr. Kohdayar Marri thanked for the warm reception and agreed to actively coordinate with the HAUFO to organize activities in the near future. The Ambassador also proposed some ideas to promote the cultures of the two countries and strengthen the friendship between the two capitals, Hanoi and Islamabad. This is also an opportunity to exchange traditional cultural features, thereby further promoting people’s foreign relations.
