Coordination of organizing the Lotus Festival in Hanoi 2024

On the afternoon of May 8th, in Tay Ho District, a working session took place between the HAUFO, Tay Ho District, the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on coordinating the organization of the Lotus Festival in Hanoi 2024.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ky, Chairman of the HAUFO; Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang, Member of the Hanoi Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Tay Ho District People's Council, Chairman of the Vietnam - South Korea Friendship Association in Hanoi; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dai, Member of the Hanoi Party Committee, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, along with other leaders of the HAUFO, the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Tay Ho District, and specialized departments.

 

Sharing at the meeting, Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang stated that Tay Ho District is developing into a tourism and service center of the capital city. The district is submitting a proposal to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to recognize West Lake Lotus and Quang An Tea as intangible cultural heritage.

 

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ky, hopes that organizing the Lotus Festival in Hanoi 2024 will contribute to promoting the image of the capital city to international friends and realize the goal of elevating external relations activities to a new level.

 

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dai affirmed that Tay Ho District has favorable conditions for agricultural development, with many economically effective crops such as Nhat Tan peach, Quang Ba kumquat, and especially West Lake Lotus.

 

At the end of the working session, all parties agreed to promptly coordinate, assign tasks, and ensure the successful organization of the Lotus Festival in Hanoi 2024.

 

The Lotus Festival in Hanoi 2024 is scheduled to take place in mid-July 2024 with various activities including art performances, showcasing Lotus ao dai on a stage on the water surface at Trinh Cong Son walking street, booths introducing OCOP products, a photo exhibition on Lotus, a carnival parade around West Lake,...
