HAUFO ACTIVITIES
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Hanoi Liberation Day (October 10th, 1954 – October 10th, 2024) and the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being recognized by UNESCO as the “City for Peace”, HAUFO is hosting The 2024 "”Hanoi in my heart" Writing Contest. This contest is for foreigners living and working in Vietnam and for Vietnamese people living abroad.
The contest aims to create opportunities for international friends and overseas Vietnamese to express their love for Hanoi, ignite and spread the beauty of Hanoi’s culture and people, promote mutual understanding and solidarity between Vietnamese people, Hanoians, and international friends; contribute to building a more prosperous, cultured, civilized, and modern Hanoi.
Since its official launch in May 2024, the contest has attracted interest and participation from members of diplomatic missions, foreign students living, working, and studying in Vietnam, as well as from the Vietnamese community around the world. The Organizing Committee has received many submissions expressing deep love and unforgettable memories of Hanoi. We sincerely thank you for your interest and deeply value the affection you have shown for Hanoi as a whole, and the 2024 "Hanoi in my heart" Writing Contest in particular.
To further spread the purpose, significance, and content of the contest, the Organizing Committee would like to announce an extension of the submission deadline to September 30th, 2024.
